Jefferson’s 9th Grade Academy prepares incoming students to take full advantage of our Middle College for Advanced Studies.  Students will learn the essential skills necessary to earn both high school and college credits.

The 9th Grade Academy includes the core classes of Modern World History, Physics, and English-Language Arts.  The Academy teachers share student cohorts that take these core classes together.  The cohort model helps our students build community with each other, their teachers, their school, and our community partners.

Academy teachers plan curriculum, examine assignments, and create individualized success plans to ensure all students are prepared for college success.
